Lockheed Martin - Surface Navy 2007

Audio Visual Xperts was approached by Lockheed Martin to meet a unique need of creating a fiber optic carpet that simulated a landing strip. The carpet was 8' wide x 16' long with 3 arrows that were 4.5" wide that were DMX computer controlled to change color and flash in a specific order. To create the lighting effect, AVX used 18 miles of fiber optic to create 4500 points of light within the carpet! The project was challenging, but AVX completed this project within 7 days from the time the order was placed, to being shipped directly to the Surface Navy show in Arlington, VA.
